Profile
Mary has firmly established herself as one of Australia’s favourite Jazz musicians. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing double bass, cello or bass guitar whilst singing the roof off. As well as performing your most beloved Jazz and 50’s rock and roll classics, Mary reinterprets today’s most popular music in a retro style. She is a jazz singer with great instinct for pop, breaking down the walls between genres by blending the old with the new.
With a postgraduate degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Mary is a highly trained professional with 10 years of performing experience. She has played all over the world at venues such as the Sydney Opera House, London’s Ronny Scotts, and the B.I.M Institute in Amsterdam. Mary has performed with many music legends including New York’s jazz drumming sensation, John Riley, and Australian pop legends, The Whitlams.
Mary will make your event a memorable occasion. She can cater to your requirements, playing intimate settings with just a guitarist to accompany her or up to a five-piece band, ensuring your guests dance the night away. She is also does a lot of solo gigs of more popular music styles with cello and voice, doing romantic pop music for weddings and events.
To put it simply, Mary will pull on the strings of your heart.
