Profile
Greg is a spectacular covers performer who can play as either solo, duo, trio or band. From the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Greg Byrne is most well known as the energetic front man of rock band Stone Parade. Last year the group embarked on two major national tours that saw them play to ten’s of thousands of screaming fans. His professionalism and popularity is second to none.
Since the beginning of Greg Byrne’s solo/ duo/ trio and East Coast Band (4 piece) career in July 2008, it has exploded on the local scene. Whether it be filling up dance floors or breaking some toe tapping background beats, it is easy to see why he is one of the most talked about artists of 2013.
Greg’s solo performances are live, acoustic and without the use of any synthesised backing instrumentation. His strength lies within the raw emotion delivered through his voice and guitar playing.
Typically at a ‘Greg Byrne’ show you will hear classics from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and now with a wide range of covered artists such as:
George Benson, The Doors, The Blues Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, Ray Charles, Chris Isaak, U2, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Oasis, Ben Harper, Crowded House, Midnight Oil, Matchbox 20, Lenny Kravitz, Diesel, Powderfinger, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, The Presets, MGMT, Gnarls Barkley, Michael Buble, The Temper Trap, The Script, Mumford and Sons, Maroon 5, Adele, The Killers, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk and many many more.
