Gary Johns is one of Sydney’s most versatile, charismatic and experienced performers. He’s typically known as a high-energy entertainer focusing on pop and rock classics that everybody knows. He gets people singing, dancing and engages them with his well-honed entertainment skills.

That’s just the surface though, Gary has studied opera and jazz at the University of New South Wales. He holds 2 degrees in music and has travelled the world from NYC to London playing and getting master classes from the world no. 1’s!

So he’s no one trick pony one man band, he plays an average of 3 nights every week in the best venues playing as a solo, duo, trio, as well as a 4 and 5 piece band. His band regularly comprises of the hottest musicians available so it’s always a thrill to see who’s going to be in the lineup!

He’s been playing and singing professionally since he was 15 and thus boasts one of the biggest repertoires of anyone. As well as rock and pop he can cater for sophisticated evenings of jazz through to a non-stop set of high-energy music that never fails to get the dance floor jumping. His original works have been showcased on national radio as well as on high rating national TV shows and various films.

As well as performing Gary also operates Sydney Funk Collective one of Sydney’s best party bands who regularly perform at functions for companies including Coca Cola and Bupa as well as celebrity weddings at the Opera House, etc.
